Combat Fight League Packin Hotels

  • Friday February 18th Woodland Hills CA!

The Combat Fight League brought Mayhem to the Warner Center Marriott in the heart of the San Fernando Valley just north of Los Angeles.  This time the Mayhem was not the result of the warm day old chicken salad in the buffet but a packed 13 bout ammy MMA card.

This was the second event for the CFL in a hotel venue and they did a great job.  The 1,200 plus fans entered the venue via a seperate entrance flanked by custom cars from two of the sponsors, Lil Zekes Bail Bonds and Sign A Rama of Camarillo.

Once inside the lobby of the hotel, the fans had several bars to choose from (that kept lines to a minimum) as well as vendor booths like Cauliflower Fight Gear, GYST gym bags, Pro Boxing Supply and, DojoFightGear.com.

As always the CFL had awesome ring girls and this time they got to compete via crowd applause for a watch from CFL sponsor Polanti makers of highend watches that are also given out for fight of the night!

Julius Mojica did his usual great job of match making and all 13 bouts had massive crowd interaction. As ammy shows go the CFL makes some of the most consistant bout matches that always draw huge camps to support their fighters.

It was great to see the beginings of a clear rivalry between the MMA schools in Ventura County and other So Cal locations like the Tapout Gym in Lancaster that had 5 fighters on the card.  I think there is a lot to be said for the concept of getting a good area code rivalry going here in So Cal.
