The city of Arcadia is home to the Los Angeles County Arboretum and that facility contains the actual house used in the TV show Fantasy Island. The house where the dwarf comes out and says "de plane, de plane".
The house is not set but rather a a real victorian house built in the last 1800's and used only for parties and guests (it has no kitchen).
It was build by Lucky Baldwin a railroad baron who once owned 100,000 acres of land in the San Gabriel valley was later subdivided into the cities of Arcadia, Monrovia, Temple City. less
